Research and laboratory routine accompaning basic therapy put main emphasis on:

Therapeutic drug monitoring (clozapine, haloperidol, amitriptyline, nortriptyline); matters of interest: pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenetics.
Metabolism of clozapine
Measuring of melatonin in patients with affective psychosis; interactions with psychoactive drugs.
Measuring of ß-carbolin and endogenic ligands of opiate-receptors (e.g. ß-endorphine) in alcoholics and patients with polytoxicomania, affective psychosis or M. Parkinson.
Side-effect-recording of psychoactive drugs.
